- 1. Savoia Marchetti S.55X. Suggested kit: Delta S.55X.
Before fitting the
Clear-Vax item, carefully trim the raised line around the sill away from the
fuselage. Note how the Clear-Vax canopy has had its profile lowered for better
accuracy. Replace the kit porthole glazing with clear styrene or acetate.

- 2. Fiat C.R.32. Suggested kit: Supermodel Fiat C.R.32.
The Clear-Vax windscreen
replaces the kit item. Drill a small hole in the windscreen to accept the
gunsight.

- 3. Reggiane Re.2002. Suggested kit: Supermodel Re.2002.
Cut off the rear of
the kit canopy and fix it in place on the fuselage. The Clear-Vax canopy is
designed to replace the kit forward section.

- 4. Cant Z.506. Suggested kit: Cant Z.506.
The drawing shows the
early Z.506 upper turret. In order to fit this item, cut the base off the
kit turret 3 mm from the bottom then glue the Clear-Vax turret to the base
and fit into place. To fit the later-style turret, also supplied, cut the
base off the kit turret 5 mm from the bottom and fit in the same way as the
early-style turret. To fit the lower rear gun position, cut away the shaded
area marked X, then fit the entire Clear-Vax canopy in place. The remaining
Clear-Vax canopies directly replace the kit items without modification.

The Clear-Vax canopy
directly replaces the kit item.

- 6. Reggiane Re.2000 (late style). Suggested kit: Supermodel Re.2000.
The sliding section
of the canopy is designed to overlap the rear piece. Use a piece of suitably
shaped plasticard to blank off the front of the rear piece.

- 7. Fiat G.50 (early style). Suggested kit: Airfix Fiat G.50.
In order to fit the
Clear-Vax canopy, place the kit fuselage on the scrap drawing and make a 1.5
mm cut at line X. Carefully cut an 8 mm long line using line Y as a guide.
Then cut another line between lines X and Y 10 mm long. Some decking will
need to be fabricated and fitted in the cutout area before fitting the canopy.
Note the alteration required to the rudder hinge line.

- 8. Fiat G.55. Suggested kit: Supermodel & Frog/Revell Fiat G.55.
Clear-Vax canopy 8A
fits the Supermodel kit. Carefully cut away the shaded area from the kit fuselage
at the line marked X. Note the corrected sill line for the hinged section.
This correction has also been made to canopy 8B, which is made to fit the
Frog/Revell kit.

- 9. Fiat C.R.42. Suggested kit: Revell Fiat C.R.42.
The Clear-Vax windscreen
directly replaces the kit item.

- 10. Macchi M.C.200 (early style). Suggested kit: Revell M.C.200.
Carefully cut away
the headrest framing from the kit fuselage. The corresponding cutout will
need to be fitted with a plasticard decking and internal structure as shown
in the scrap drawing. After fitting the canopy, make and fit canopy guide
rails from 0.5 mm plasticard cut to the shape shown in the drawing marked
X.

- 13. Savoia Marchetti S.M.81. Suggested kit: Supermodel S.M.81.
The lower gondola
directly replaces the kit item. Carefully cut the raised strip (marked X)
from the kit gondola and fit to the Clear-Vax gondola. To fit the upper turret
top, cut the top off the kit turret 6 mm from the base, glue the Clear-Vax
turret top to the base and fit in place in the fuselage. Use the kit side
windows and lower turret. Two styles of main pilot's canopies are supplied.
The early-style canopy with upright windscreen directly replaces the kit part.
Most aircraft used the later-style canopy with extra glazing at the rear.
In order to fit this canopy, carefully cut away the kit fuselage at the line
marked X.
